"Accidentally surf upon "Timecode:NOLA" and you¹ll
know right away that you¹ve departed the prosaic world of cop
dramas, dopey sitcoms, beer commercials and Kelly Ripa for something
odd, indigenous and (digitally)
organic... 'We aim to be not just local,' said Rushin. 'I¹d like
to get the show in more markets. We¹re really trying to do
the slickest, hippest show we can. We really want it to become a digital
hub for filmmaking in the Gulf South.'...If that goal seems overly
ambitious, consider the show¹s impact closer to home. Rushin
was talking to one of the show¹s contributors
recently and asked if the filmmaker had received any viewer feedback.
Yes, said the shooter. My grandma was flipping through the dial and
happened to see my film. If it can happen for grandma, who¹s
to say it can¹t happen for a Hollywood studio chief or network
vice president in town for Jazzfest? Or, for that matter, you."

"Timecode: NOLA provides a wonderful much needed service in
the New Orleans media community. New Orleans is home to incredible
talent that up until now has been a well-kept secret... Timecode:
NOLA focuses on media makers,
presenter, and media service organizations to show case filmmaking
activity, the challenges that filmmakers face, and outstanding achievement
in independent filmmaking in New Orleans."

Video Access Center
"Timecode: NOLA has proven itself to be one our most successful
programs. It creates something very necessary and completely unique
by showcasing, promoting and giving a voice to talented artists
in our communityŠTimecode: NOLA is a venue for local independent
filmmakers and a crucial ingredient for an emerging film community."
George Blow, Programming Director Cox10
Productions
"I think that if, in New Orleans, if we could all come together
and have a central message board type of place like Timecode: NOLA
the show then, I mean, that¹s perfect. That¹s what needs
to happen. I really think New Orleans is simmering in the whole
boiling pot of film. It could be great. Turn up the heat and it
could be a remarkable film town.

" Hi, I saw your show last night and I _love_ it. Really good
stuff...I¹m a multimedia producer for a local educational
software co., but I dabble in independent film. I specialize in
postproduction effects (compositing, cgi, etc) and creating
"film" out of video. Keep up the good work!"
