155lbs.
i began playing drums at age 8 which snowballed into me playing
guitar, bass, and keys as well. At some point in my life the
new Orleans public school system deemed it appropriate to
graduate me and I am appreciative.
I went on my road in life to enroll at UNO,
only to retire.
These days I enjoy locking myself in my room
for days, recording and cursing, playing with the "Man-Chilrens"
(Jorge Lazari-drums, Sage Takeuchi-guitar...bass or keyboard
position is available, so apply now!) and touching my wife.
Julien Barrosse is due on May 24, however we don't have a
middle name yet, please forward all ideas.
The Man-Chilrens have been playing mainly at
the Banks Street Bar because no one else seems to be interested
for some reason and the owner Maria Guth likes us. We like
her, too.
It should be also be said that Adey (sp?) at
Cafe' Brazil has always let us play and has been very supportive.
He is a benefit to the New Orleans community.
If anyone is interested in seeing us perform
somewhere else, let us know. Currently, we are not really
gigging because we're recording and we're also short a person
right now (see above) but send us your undying love and we'll
get our ca-ca together. |

While Rick holds down the true musicianship
of Timecode, I find my solace in providing all of the Hip-Hop
beats that play the auditory background scenery that sets
the tone of the moment.
A producer and rapper living in-between NOLA
and NYC, I've traveled the world (at least the continent),
I've gone back in time, drew graffiti on the Mayflower, put
the moves on Mary Magdelene, drop-kicked Napoleon, and got
on the broads with Jean Lafitte. These days I'm finishing
the touches on my solo-project of true genius entitled, "The
Lagniappe Project" which is destined to have me seeing
more nude females than Ron Jeremy. Well, probably not, but
I'm determined to make the local music scene a LOT more interesting.
Simultaneously to "Lagniappe," I'm
recording songs for two artists on my label: a bounce artist
appropriately named "Toy Soldier", and a geekily
funny space-cadet rapper named, "Kool Kingcake".
Other projects include a collaboration EP with
"The Bush Babies" group member Mr. Man entitled
"The Dew Dew Bruddahs" (which is just us being drunk
and stupid), and production for various Hip-Hop groups from
the Americas to Germany. You wanna buy a beat? Look a brother
up.
Somewhere between all of this I find the time
to consider doing yoga, contemplate my spiritual evolution,
ponder making a film, and wonder what life would be like if
I ever got off my ass and did something besides drink beer
and make beats (the good New Orleans life).
Be on the lookout. |
