One REEL Super8 Competition and Defend The Gulf Screening

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th, 2012 – 8 PM

ONE EYED JACK’S 615 Toulouse St. NOLA 70130

$8 – BUY TICKETS

Timecode’s popular One Reel challenge is back – no experience necessary! One reel equals 3 mins of silent, black & white film and all edits must be in camera – i.e. filmmakers shoot their short in the exact order they want it shown.
The filmmakers recently handed in their one roll of Super8 film to Pro8mm for processing and now it’s time to watch them on the big screen accompanied by a piano player improvising a live score. This will be the first time both the filmmaker and the audience sees the film and all will be projected whether brilliant or blank. Phil & Rhonda Vigeant of Pro8mm will present a brand new Super8 Camera – the Rhonda CAM to our best film winner.
C.O.G. (Consortium of Genius) will be belting out their evil scientist rock immediately following the Super8 screening.
Like short films? Concerned about our fragile wetlands & gulf? We’re kicking off the night with Defend The Gulf – an hour of environmental shorts based around the Gulf Coast and sponsored by the Gulf Restoration Network and Charitable Film Network
